Teenager Gains Emotional Communication Tools and Preparedness for Future Romantic Relationships

I'm 17 and I totally didn't really know what to expect when I first came here like oh it's a Love Club Immersion, sounds good but it was a really incredible experience even for like someone as young as me. Love is for everyone and just hearing everyone's stories and the way they've related to love and the things it's brought into their life was just incredible and I learned so much to that I'm going to carry with me into the future and my love life, too. My favorite tool from this weekend that I'm going to use is using a scale of ten when explaining your emotions to other people because you can see their emotions and you see they're upset but you can't really see it is like are they major upset? A bit upset? You can't see into another person but then I tell you like I'm five out of ten angry, It gives a frame of reference for everyone else when you just put a number next to your emotion when you tell them how you're feeling. So I'm a total teenager and you might be thinking like Love Club? That sounds kind of adult. What's that about? But I was here, I was surrounded by adults and they were actually so welcoming and I never felt out of place, they really made me belong. A lot of people here are working on like romantic relationships but it's not limited to that. Just hearing their stories and lessons and experiences of love, it has made me feel so much more prepared to start dating people whenever I feel ready. I just feel so much more prepared. And I feel like I have tools and references that I can use to enrich my life. So many people here like man I wish I had been to something like this when I was a teenager like I would have done so better, I'd have been a different person and teenagers that could it be you and I definitely think that I've been changed for the better, for coming here.
