The interview
What makes the experience at Pinnacle Integrative unique?
Well, first of all, they take quality time with you when you go in for your first consult. And they get to know you on a personal level and that means a lot to me. Because sometimes it seems when you go to certain particular doctor's offices, they seem kind of in a rush. But Pinnacle takes their time, they get to know you and they're very, very friendly. They want to know all about your life, personally, plus your health life. They treat you like a family member—you know, just get to know you as a person not just, say, a number.
What was your physical condition before starting treatment?
I'd had a knee replacement in 2018 of my right knee and I had been taking some shots for my left knee and my goal was not to have surgery. So, I was having trouble doing, like, daily exercise, housework... like, walking and exercising. I was having a lot of trouble with my left knee.
Why did you choose to trust Pinnacle Integrative with your care?
Well, I had never worked with Pinnacle but I had Dr. Schacter, he did my first knee replacement. And I have been a patient of his for about eight years—through the injections and stuff—so I had a lot of trust in him. So when he opened that clinic I decided to give the procedure a try.
What other treatments had you tried previously?
I tried steroids and I was concerned about maybe what they could do to your body, so I try not to do them really, really often. But they did give some relief, but they didn't get total relief. Basically that's really all I tried. I didn't do any therapy for my knee.
What specific services did you receive at the clinic?
I did a package that, kind of, did a whole wellness thing. The testing of your vitamins and all that, so I'm on supplements from there. And as far as the knee, I've had some procedures.
What are the results of your treatment so far?
I'm exercising four to five times at the gym a week, walk about three miles a day, four to five times a week and I wasn't able to do that before... not at all. Well, first of all, I had great results. Just a very caring and compassionate clinic.
Frequently asked
Are steroid injections the only option for knee pain at Pinnacle?
No, Linda McCleskey transitioned from standard steroid injections to a comprehensive wellness package at Pinnacle. This included vitamin testing, supplements, and specific procedures that provided the total relief she couldn't achieve with steroids alone.
How does Pinnacle Integrative treat patients compared to other doctors?
Linda McCleskey notes that unlike offices that seem in a rush, Pinnacle takes quality time to get to know patients personally. She felt treated like a family member rather than just a number in a comfortable, low-anxiety environment.
Can I return to high-impact exercise after knee treatment?
Based on Linda's experience, she was able to resume exercising four to five times a week at the gym and walking three miles a day, activities she was completely unable to do before her treatment at Pinnacle.
