The interview
What was your physical condition before working with Greg Kheel?
Before working with Greg Kheel, my life was physically deteriorating. I've been suffering from an autoimmune for about ten years and trying just about everything to figure out how to release the pain and also become more mobile. I realized the last three to five years that I was losing a tremendous amount of muscle mass from lack of activity.
What made you decide to work with Greg and choose Qigong?
What made me want to work with Greg is just think he's a wonderful human being. I've known him for quite some time, and I'm thrilled that he's gone on to master Qigong. I knew that that was something that I could get into and had an immense amount of trust with Greg already. My body was limited in terms of how I could actually move, and Qigong really has been an answer that I've been looking for for a long time.
How did you find the process of committing to the practice?
Making a commitment to Qigong in my daily life was definitely a discipline and commitment, there's no question. But everyone has their own walk all their practices, both spiritual and physical. I already have the spiritual, and I was really lacking in the physical. As it turns out, Qigong is such a beautiful blend.
What are the specific qualities of the Qigong practice you enjoy?
The meditative quality you're moving and also when you're actually sitting and meditating is beautiful and profound and peaceful and calming. I actually integrated it into my morning practice after my prayers.
What has it been like having Greg as a teacher?
Being with Greg as a teacher really inspires I know all of his students. He's so passionate, and he's so committed to the practice because of its healing properties and how it's manifested in so many of his students, like myself. He really shows you the bandwidth of where you can take Qigong.
What specific results have you seen in your body?
My goal was to build muscle mass and also to find more energy because I really had used all my life force at a very young age. Due to the fluid nature of Qigong, I find my body moving again without pain. My lower body was really a problem area, and I have really great movement now in my lower body, so I'm super happy.
